NAVEGANTES
Navegantes are what make CEHC's work possible!
Navegantes are certified Community Health Workers (CHW) who are multilingual and multicultural and many share similar backgrounds to our patients. Navegantes are patient advocates, medical interpreters, work closely with patients to reach their health goals, and so much more. Navegantes also teach our Vida Sana and Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) classes in addition to doing one-on-one nutrition counseling. Navegantes also represent the clinic at outreach and community events across the state.
For more information about what CHWs are and what they do, visit the Community Health Worker Association of Rhode Island's website!
